Shawn & Jill

It all started with a blind date. And prom. Jill's friend was dating Shawn's friend and when both said friends discovered Jill & Shawn's apparent lack of dates to the high school prom, they seemed to have the perfect solution. What could have been brutally awkward and slightly uncomfortable, turned into one of the most unexpectedly fun dates of their lives. That night Jill and Shawn danced. And a few days later they dated. And after a few years they decided that they'd be happy to continue doing more dancing and dating for the rest of their lives.

Jill and Shawn, I'm so excited for your wedding this August! From our short time traipsing around Smith Rock State park I can already tell I really, really like you. Your witty comments resonate with me and your personalities are so.much.fun. I feel like we could talk about anything and somehow you'd both find a way to make it absolutely hilarious.

And funny a bride & groom?! Well, it just may be one of my more favorite things.

Thanks for being so great, Michelle

Oh! I love this!

Kelsi & Matt : Destin, Florida

It was hardly a one day affair. In fact, it didn't come close to the expected afternoon ceremony and evening reception. With family and friends traveling from London, Wales, Oregon, and Oklahoma (and Matt himself making the journey from Australia), Kelsi and Matt thought it best to make their wedding an extended celebration. Over the course of one week both families (from grandparents to seven month twins) stayed in the same three story Destin, Florida beach house. They shared meals and kitchens and couches and bathrooms and even fought over equal sharing of baby cuddles. So by the time Kelsi & Matt said their vows and kissed to forever, the day was really more of a marriage of two families. The Cross's promised to jump the pond and visit the Brit's in Wales, while Matt's family happily agreed to do the same in Oregon. It was kind of exactly how every wedding, and marriage, should be.

Kelsi & Matt, ohhhh Kels & Matty. I really, really love you. If I write too much more I'll start crying. I'll really do it, right here, in front of the whole world! But know that I'm so wildly happy for you. You two could not be more perfectly made for each other and I feel like our little family is finally complete...

That is until you want to get started on those British-Aussie-American babies of yours.

Stephen & Ariel

It was supposed to be a Christmas party for the nursing students. A nice evening, among friends, with an open bar. But when the medical students heard news of the aforementioned open bar, the party soon became a nursing school Christmas event crashed by Vanderbilt School of Medicine's finest. And as the evening came to an end and the after parties were sure to begin, Stephen smoothly demanded Ariel's number... 'Just in case our groups are separated'.

And when a first date, complete with good food, good company, and extra good dancing, happened just a few weeks later, both parties knew this love was for real.

This year Stephen crashed another Christmas party. After flying to Houston to whisk Ariel away from her hospital's Christmas party, he took her on yet another date (no doubt with good food and good company). And when dinner was over and the couple returned to Ariel's apartment, Stephen found himself on bended knee with a diamond ring - asking Ariel if she wouldn't mind spending forever with him.

Stephen and Ariel, thank you for trusting me with your pictures and thank you for being absolutely gorgeous. You're a real dream and I cannot wait for your delightfully Southern, Nashville wedding this summer.

It may be a little premature, but I've got my boots ready.

All my love, Michelle

Meet the third member of Stephen & Ariel's family, Oliver. I think he'd be bffff's with Conway.

Le sigh.

Hellloooo gorgeous mountains.

A little dancing...

...and one last walk into the sunset.
