Adam and Karin :: Sneak Peek

Hi, Friends. In light of the fabulous Virginian fall that is upon us and the amazing weekend of pictures we've had, I'm giving you a sneak peek from Adam and Karin's portrait session this afternoon. A gorgeous couple, an incredible vineyard, and a beautiful fall in Virginia make me one happy photographer.

Happy Sunday,

Michelle

Southern Weddings Magazine :: Published

I'm excited, and when I get excited I have this annoying habit of telling everyone {eeeeeeveryone} what I'm excited about. The latest issue of Southern Weddings hits newsstands today and I am, wait for it, excited to be able to say that two of my pictures are in the magazine. They're not big, or flashy, or noticeable to anyone other than my mom, dad, and the neighbor who I was excited to share the news with, but they are pictures....that I took. With my own camera. And my own hands. And my own eyes looking through my own viewfinder. This is exciting to me and while it may be a telling sign of how far I have to go to truly be featured in such a magazine, it feels like an accomplishment. A sort of indicator letting me know that I really have made progress in this adventure of running a business and doing what I love. It may also be an indicator of the fact that I am really, ridiculously, easily excitable.

Here is the half page spread of the Groom's Gallery. My pictures are the two of the handsome man dancing in the bottom row. I've looked at this page somewhere around a million times, but each time I begin to feel even an ounce of that unwarranted pride I am overcome with humility as I see my name fit snugly between A Bryan Photo and Jasmine Star Photography. Whoa.

Happy Tuesday,

Michelle

Justin + Emily :: Richmond Wedding Photography

She's fun, sarcastic, totally gorgeous, and everything he wanted in a wife. He's fun, sarcastic, totally handsome, and everything she wanted in a husband. Justin and Emily shared laughs, smiles, and a hundred secret whispers as they vowed to share their lives together before their friends and family. Justin and Emily, thank you so much for letting me join you on your wedding day. I can say with full honesty that your wedding made me want to marry Colton all over again - and again and again. You share a beautiful love and I can only imagine the beautiful life you are beginning to share together. Couples like you {almost} make me want to shoot one hundred weddings a year. And for the millionth time, thank you Jessie for bringing me along. You really are wonderful.

Most. Beautiful. Bridal. Party. Ever.

Something about the following images makes me want to jump inside the picture and stay awhile.

Justin and Emily are so fun that I actually wanted to be a guest at their wedding. Given the fact that 99.99% of the time I would rather photograph a wedding than be a guest, this is a huge indication as to how wonderful these two are.

Have a wonderful night!

Michelle
