A Night in Palm Springs

We headed East last weekend for a few quick days in Palm Springs. I was fortunate enough to get to second shoot with Whit + Jesse Chamberlain of Our Labor of Love for a killer wedding at the Parker. If you're wondering what cool looks like you need not look farther than Whit + Jesse. They're the type of people who have coolness oozing from their veins. They have so much cool, in fact, that they give cool transfusions in an effort to help out the plain people of the world. Essentially they're the type of people that people like me aspire to be like - in another life. It's as if the Ace Hotel, Flight of the Conchords, and organic-five-seed-whole-wheat bread were all rolled into a, well, person. And my plain self dies with envy.

Happy Monday,

Michelle

Getting Old (and Julia Child) :: Life

Lately I've been feeling old. Rather, like I'm getting old, like there's this sense of urgency to get my affairs in order. To be financially responsible, to learn how to cook, to floss everyday. Really, just to grow up. I'm young, I know this, but I feel like life is so quickly slipping through my fingers and I cannot help but watch from the outside. I came across this quote the other day and it provided a most comforting reminder. As it turns out it's okay to not have life figured out.

Even more comforting is the fact that I have plenty of time to learn how to cook.

Happy Monday.
