Hello, Weekend Readers! I'm desperately trying to savor every last minute of this day before we head to Portland for tomorrow's engagement session. We're finally at the one we've all been waiting for, the best of 2010's weddings! To say I feel blessed about all that's happened this year would be the most enormous of understatements. 2010 has been more than I could have ever hoped or imagined and to be honest this both excites me and mortifies me for the upcoming year! One thing I know to be true is that I am absolutely ecstatic about the brides and grooms I get to be photographing. Watch out, world, there are some gorgeous people getting married next year. Before I can officially get excited about shooting next year's weddings, I need to properly say goodbye to this year's amazing couples. I've spent an embarrassing amount of time sorting through all of this year's images in order to find the pictures that truly spoke to me. It was tough, but I've come up with a small collection of photographs that represent how I want a bride + groom to feel when they see their images for the first, second, and millionth time - timeless, genuine, and beautiful.

If I could take pictures of wedding guests all day long, I would. Unfortunately for most people present at a nuptial, being asked to have to your picture taken is painfully awkward. Still I try, hard, to capture the fine and eclectic assortment of guests that can only be found together in the same room at such an event as a wedding. I've put together a handful of my favorite captures from this past year. Some of them are touching, some of them comical, and some are just plain ridiculous. In the end I think they're a pretty good representation of the melting pot of proper aunties, drunk uncles, and crazy college roommates that make up a truly great guest list. Enjoy.
