James + Kimmie

A few weeks ago, on their trip home to visit Oregon, James and Kimmie invited me to take portraits of their little family and baby-to-be. Kimmie is the essence of a glowing momma who radiates happiness, and it’s clear that James is already an incredible father. I love maternity sessions because they’re so full of excitement and anticipation and wonder over what the new bundle of love will look like. It was such a joy spending the evening with these two as we talked about life with their future baby boy. It’s a truly exciting season and with parents like this, I cannot wait to see just how handsomely beautiful their little guy is! James and Kimmie, thank you for letting me be the first to take baby Liam's pictures. You are already absolutely amazing parents and I'm so excited to watch as you continue on this wonderful adventure of raising your son. Thank you for letting me spend the evening with you and for being so kind as to laugh at all my cheesy jokes. I'm now bound and determined to find a way to make it to Virginia for Baby's arrival just so that I can take his first (real) photos! I'll consider this fair warning that I may show up on your doorstep the day Liam is born?!

xoxo, M.

Baby Evelyn

You would think that after this many pictures, this many engagement and wedding and maternity and bebe photos, I would run out of wonderful things to say about Sammy and Griffin. But maybe that's just the thing about these guys - the longer I know them, the more I love them. And now that they've added the most beautiful, precious, perfect little Evelyn to their family I'll never run out of wonderful things to say about the Webb crew. Call me crazy, but I'd like nothing more than to spend all of my afternoons taking pictures and playing dress-up with this future basketball star and her gorgeous parents.

The Roe Family

Words can't describe just how much Colton and I love this family. If we had it our way we'd spend every evening playing hide + seek with the girls while fighting over who gets to cuddle baby Jimmy. It's convenient that we're related and thus required to spend a certain amount of life together. Our love for these little bundles of perfection (and their parents!) spans the universe and we feel so lucky to get to call them family. It's a widely known fact that our kids are going to have pretty awesome older (<<-- much older) cousins some day. I can't publish these photos without mentioning that the Roe's set a new standard for the family portrait session. With three children, all under the age of two, running and playing and cooing and laughing for over an hour (during intermittent bouts of rain, I'll add), this new precedent is hardly attainable by the average American. If our bebes are one tenth as beautiful and sweet and well mannered and happy as these angels, we'll be blessed beyond measure.
