Oregon Coast Engagement Session

I know I say this all the time, but one of my most favorite parts of running this little business of mine is the people I get to meet along the way. Over the past five years of photographing weddings and engagements I've collected the most amazing group of brides and grooms who I am so fortunate to now call friends. They're the type of people who keep in touch long after their wedding day is over and photos have been delivered. They let me know when they buy a house, and get a puppy, and have a baby. They email me when life events happen and they text when they see something they know I'll appreciate. They truly have become the most wonderful of friends.

Gary and Allison are exactly those people. I met them earlier this month for a picturesque afternoon on the Oregon Coast and I left their engagement session wishing we could just go get drinks instead. Not only are they two incredibly gorgeous individuals, but they're wonderful, hilarious, fun people as well. I'm so glad this is only the beginning of our time working together and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding later this summer at Portland's Abernethy Center.

Great Hall Wedding at Sunriver Lodge

If ever there was a couple that exuded true joy and happiness it would be Cody and Mary. I was fortunate enough to photograph their beautiful day at Sunriver’s Great Hall and felt honored to capture their love. Despite only meeting these two once before their wedding, I left their reception feeling like nothing short of family. Cody and Mary are the type of people who will never meet a stranger. My favorite story from their day? A few nights before their wedding Cody and Mary were enjoying a meal at a local Bend brewery when they hit it off with a man sitting next to them at the bar. They enjoyed the man’s company so much that they invited him to their wedding – and he came!! I love how their love and zest for life extends into the people they meet and the friendships they hold. This was beyond evident at their wedding as they were surrounded by such an incredible group of friends and family.

I was lucky enough to work with a dream team of wedding industry vendors at Cody and Mary’s wedding. Any time I get to take pictures of A Native Bloom flowers I know it’s going to be a gorgeous day. Tiffany of Events by Mint is a true professional and made sure no detail of the wedding was overlooked. Meg Roussos was my right hand and second shooter for the day. Lori of Weddings by Edge Salon worked her magic with hair and makeup to make Mary’s natural beauty shine. And Courtney of Flip Flop Sounds was there to ensure the party was, well, a party! I can’t rave about these guys enough and I’ll sing their praises all day long. They made my job as a photographer even more seamless and fun than it already is!
